CUTIPOLfor hospitality
Portuguese design cutlery, since 1963
Cutipol cutlery comes from Portugal. José Ribeiro officially founded the company on 1 April 1963, together with his wife Alice Marques; he had learned the trade in his father's small workshop. Today their children run the company, and every collection is designed in-house by José Joaquim Ribeiro.
Besides cutlery, Cutipol also makes table accessories and cases to store the cutlery in.
Cutipol is not in our webshop. Debecker supplies it on request.
Designed and made in-house
Cutipol designs every collection itself, with simplicity and function as the starting point: sober, fine lines that feel good in the hand. The factory has 4,000 square metres of machinery, but much of the finishing is still done by hand. The Manhattan pattern received the industrial design award of the Portuguese design centre.
Goa and other collections
Cutipol has several collections. Our records list Goa, with table knife, fork and spoon, dessert cutlery, coffee and tea spoon, steak knife and fish cutlery. Which colours and finishes are available we check per request.
When Cutipol fits
Cutipol suits a venue where cutlery is part of the design: a restaurant with a distinctive interior, a coffee bar or a hotel room where every detail counts.
Renewal and export
In the 1980s Cutipol began a thorough renewal of its factory. The founders' children then joined, with the focus on design and export. The Atlântico pattern was selected for the Expo '98 world fair in Lisbon, and the company opened its own stores, first in Portugal and then abroad.
Preparing your request
Count which pieces you need per cover: table knife, fork and spoon, dessert cutlery and coffee spoon, and where needed a steak or fish knife. Then work with the number of covers in the room and a reserve for washing during service and for losses. Also mention how the cutlery is washed and stored, so we suggest the right version.

Cutipol is not in our webshop. You order on request: get in touch or book an appointment in the showroom in Marke (Kortrijk). Tell us which collection and which pieces you are looking for. It works the same way for venues in East Flanders. Other items are under hospitality cutlery.
