Falk copper pans come from Belgium. The company started in 1958 in Brussels as Falk N.V., the successor of a silversmith from Anderlecht. In 1962 it passed to Pieter Paul Van Achter, who settled in Wespelaar-Haacht, north-east of Brussels. Today his grandson Jan Van Achter runs Falk Culinair.
Falk describes its pans as finished by hand, made with exclusive materials and with respect for the tradition of copper cookware.
Falk is not in our webshop. Debecker supplies it on request.
Paul Van Achter, an engineer and the son of Pieter Paul, took over production in 1977 and turned the company towards professional cookware. He was one of the first to use bimetal: a thick copper plate laminated directly onto a thin layer of stainless steel. That steel replaces the tinned lining of classic copper pans; tin melts at just 230 °C.
Copper conducts heat well and spreads it evenly across the base and the sides. The stainless steel layer inside touches the food and is easy to clean. Falk worked with chefs on the design of its pans.
Falk suits an open kitchen, a chef's table or the range of a venue where the pan is on show, and anyone who cooks at home with professional equipment.
In 1958 Falk N.V. continued the work of the Anderlecht silversmith Nader. In the 1960s decorative copper cookware gradually took the place of electroplating. From 1977 Paul Van Achter focused on professional cookware, and his bimetal technique was later adopted by other makers.
Tell us which dishes you cook and in what quantities, and which type of hob you use. That lets us see which shapes, diameters and versions suit your kitchen. Also mention whether the pans are used in view of guests, for example in an open kitchen or to serve at the table.
Falk is not in our webshop. You order on request: get in touch or book an appointment in the showroom in Marke (Kortrijk). We discuss which pans and sizes you are looking for. It works the same way for venues in Flemish Brabant. Other items are under pots and pans.
