Schönwald plates, platters and cups are made for hospitality. The brand began in 1879 in Schönwald, Bavaria, and today belongs to BHS tabletop, together with Playground and Heart & Soul. At Debecker you choose from 343 items in eight collections, for the venue and for the home.

Fine Dining and Form 98: classic with a rim

Fine Dining has flat and deep rimmed plates from 16.1 to 28.3 cm, bowls, cups and a square combi saucer. Form 98 includes plates, bowls up to 18.3 cm, cups in ten sizes and coffee pots.

Delight, Shiro and Unlimited: coupe without a rim

A coupe plate gives the dish the full width. Delight has flat coupe plates from 12.1 to 30.8 cm and deep ones up to 31 cm. Shiro and Unlimited have deep coupe plates up to 27.9 and 30 cm, small dishes and stackable square bowls for tapas and amuse-bouches.

Create and Delight Vibes: relief on the rim

Create has embossed coupe plates up to 31.2 cm and ribbed cups. Delight Vibes gives the Delight shapes a ribbed rim, up to a 31.4 cm flat plate and a 38.1 x 27.4 cm oval platter.

Coffee Tasting for the coffee menu

Cups from 10 to 25 cl, ribbed or embossed, combi saucers of 13.4 and 15 cm, glasses and a two-level saucer. A line of its own for espresso, cappuccino and filter coffee.

Putting together a Schönwald service

  • Choose rim or coupe first. A rimmed plate (Fine Dining, Form 98, Delight) looks classic and keeps sauce in. A coupe plate (Delight, Shiro, Unlimited) gives the dish the full width.
  • Fix the sizes. A 26 to 28 cm flat plate for the main course, 21 to 23 cm for starters or lunch, 16 cm for bread or dessert, and a deep plate for soup or pasta.
  • Coffee in the same line. Fine Dining, Form 98 and Delight have their own cups and saucers. Or choose Coffee Tasting as a separate coffee line.
  • Accents. Combine a calm base with Create or Delight Vibes for one or two dishes on the menu.

Schönwald at home

Hospitality porcelain works at home too: it is made to be used and washed often. A table for six starts with six flat plates of 26 to 28 cm, six deep plates and six 16 cm side plates. Delight and Fine Dining also have platters and bowls in the same line, and with Coffee Tasting you serve coffee as in a coffee bar.

Schönwald is sold in packs of 6 or 12; the number is listed with each product. Hotels and restaurants in Antwerp and Flemish Brabant order online. If you prefer to see it first, book an appointment at the showroom in Marke, Kortrijk. Other porcelain brands are under hospitality tableware.

Private customers see prices in the webshop including 21% VAT. Debecker delivers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. In Belgium, shipping costs €8 incl. VAT and is free from €100 incl. VAT.
