Why fish cutlery

You do not cut fish, you open it up. The broad blade of the fish knife slides under the flesh and lifts it off the bone. The fish fork is a little shorter and wider than the table fork.

Fish cutlery is laid where fish has a permanent place on the menu. At home you lay it for a whole fish or a fillet with the skin on.

The brands

Robert Welch has fish cutlery in 14 collections, including Radford, Arden, Kingham and Stanton. Comas has it in 19 collections, including the BCN Satin series in gold, black and copper. Comas usually calls its fish knife a fish server.
